CURRENT SCHEDULE STATUS UPDATED OCTOBER 11 2025:
The status of various areas I provide testing for are described below. Keep in mind I live in the mountains. If you want a test date quickly your best bet is to come to me at either RIL or EGE. That may require you to get a mountain checkout and some mountain training if you have not already done so. If you want to come to EGE and rent a plane here for your test there is a Piper Archer 2 available.
If you want me to come to you then feel free to add yourself to my waitlist and I will reach out once I have an available date.
Please do not complete the form if you have open requirements. I’m not interested In having people on a waitlist that are not even qualified for a test. If you have a IFR XC, or spin training or your solo – get it done then get on the list. Avoid scheduling a test “anticipating” you’ll be done on some imaginary date, it never works out, the plane breaks, bad weather, the CFI went to Skywest, the EOC didn’t happen. I’ve heard all the excuses, get your training done, then get on the list and stay proficient. If you want a date in the books for three months from now then get your training done and check back in 2.5 months.
COLORADO MOUNTAIN/WESTERN COLORADO: If you are in need of a flight test at EGE or any other Colorado mountain airport or western Colorado airport then I can schedule you immediately for that, please text me at 970-401-4104 and I’ll get you scheduled for a test generally within the next 2 weeks, sometimes within a couple days.
COLORADO DENVER METRO: Currently the list is 11 applicants. At the present time I predict the current wait list will be cleared in the next 10 days. If you’re ready please get on the list and I’ll get you a date as soon as I have one available. At the present time expect a 2-3 week wait or less.
MINNESOTA: I’ll be in the Detroit Lakes area only one more time before now and the end of the year. If you need a test at this location please get on the list and I’ll let you know when I’ll be there.
ARIZONA: I do plan to be in Arizona either late October or early November and the occasionally thru April 2026. Dates are uncertain, but you can get on the waitlist and I’ll let you know when I have something available.
