CURRENT SCHEDULE STATUS UPDATED APRIL 17 2025: Between April 26 until May 28 I will be away on several other commitments. My schedule is currently full until I leave April 26. I will resume practical tests upon return on May 28. For June-August I anticipate making 20 test spots available in Denver each month and 10-15 available in the mountains each month. Feel free to add yourself to my waitlist and I will reach out once I return.
Please do not complete the form if you have open requirements. I’m not interested In having people on a waitlist that are not even qualified for a test. If you have a IFR XC, or spin training or your solo – get it done then get on the list. Stop trying to schedule a test “anticipating” you’ll be done on some imaginary date, it never works out, the plane breaks, bad weather, the CFI went to Skywest, the EOC didn’t happen. I’ve heard all the excuses, get your training done, then get on the list and stay proficient. If you want a date in the books for three months from now then I’m not the right DPE for you to use.
COLORADO MOUNTAIN/WESTERN COLORADO: If you are in need of a flight test at EGE or any other Colorado mountain airport or western Colorado airport please text me at 970-401-4104 and I’ll get you scheduled for a test generally within the next 2 weeks, sometimes within a couple days. Most of my available days will be Friday-Monday for tests in the Colorado mountains.
COLORADO DENVER METRO: I generally travel to the Denver Metro 1 or 2 days per week, that equates to 2-4 check rides per week. Most of the time I come to Denver I operate at BJC however I may be able to come to other airports if I have two people with a similar time frame at an airport. You can place yourself on the waitlist thru the link below and as soon as I have an opening I will give you a call. I generally let people know when they are approaching the top of the list 1-2 weeks out, and I generally pick the best weather days to schedule tests in Denver. Typically you’ll get 3-5 days notice of the test date. Please don’t put yourself on the list unless you’re actually ready. If you put a date more than 10 days out I generally just delete the request. Also if the request is only partially complete I generally delete the request.
MINNESOTA: I’ll be in the Detroit Lakes area this summer 2025, dates TBD. If you are in need of testing there please call or text at 970-401-4104. You’re also welcome to place yourself on the waitlist and I’ll reach out when I know my next date there.
ARIZONA: As of April 17th I have cleared 100% of the people that were on my waitlist for Arizona. I’m officially done with testing in Arizona until after summer. Check back occasionally, but most likely I will be offering testing dates in Arizona beginning again in October. If you’re in Arizona and desperate for a checkride you might consider flying up to Colorado. I have lots of availability in western Colorado, I can meet you in Grand Junction KGJT or Rifle KRIL. The waitlist for Arizona is currently closed, so if you add yourself and indicate Arizona it will not keep your record.
